Today we moved to the Cuadro Torres hostal in San Lorenzo, about half the price of Almería & half the amenities. On the other hand, it's outside of the city bustle & has a huge & wonderful swimming pool plus a community kitchen.
The above photo is our "garden room" just after sunrise.
We ate a delicious lunch at La Monumental: vino tinto, tortilla de mariscos, & ensalada tropical, plus 4 guarniciones -- roasted eggplant, seasoned fava beans, carrot & lettuce salad, & green mayo -- for the fresh bread.
In Argentina, tortilla means at least two different things to eat. The first is a hard flaky biscuit served at breakfast. The second is a delicious omelet filled with whatever the menu says -- verdura (greens), espinaca (spinach), mariscos (shellfish), etc. We've had all of the above.
