Facundo Cabral, 74, a famous singer in the Spanish-speaking countries, was shot dead in Guatemala. Argentine-born singer was shot in his car on the way after a gig at the Central American country.
Cabral, Saturday (07/09/2011), was on his way to the airport to fly to a nearby area with Nicaragua, to a gig at the next show. However, suddenly gunmen attacked his car.
"I do not know how and why this happened, because Facundo well-known in the world and I do not know why someone is interested to kill him," said Facundo late
representative, David Llanos, told reporters.
Local police said, Cabral was killed with a bullet lodged in his body. He also killed instantly in the car. Mean while, another vehicle carrying bodyguards also bombarded with 25 shots.
Luckily, no one was hurt in the vehicle. Guatemalan President Alvaro Colom, through his spokesman, Rolando Robles said, "Disappointed with this cowardly action."
